Upscale casual dining using seasonally inspired foods. There is a large bar area (perfect for before a Sox game), the indoor dining room and some outdoor space as well (facing Boylston Street). You can do a take out order too. Located in the heart of the Fenway and the Longwood Medical Area, it's the perfect location for power lunching, socializing after work in their modern-upscale lounge area, dining the night away on Executive Chef Denise Baron’s upscale and eclectic America fare or simply having cocktails with friends. The 280-seat restaurant also boasts a seasonal outdoor patio and there's always plenty of on street parking, as well as, affordable garage parking. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Thornton's is a bar and grill that offers American food on a block known for its restaurant diversity: Peterborough Street. Though traditional, the menu is large - guests can choose from a number of appetizers, burgers, salads, sautees, and fish entrees - and the food is excellent. Vegetarians are catered to, with portions of the menu highlighting meatless options, and some of their meatless items are their best - try the hummus! Weather permitting, you can sit outside and sip on a beer - domestics cost $3, and draft beers like Samuel Adams Boston Lager and Harpoon IPA only cost $3.75. Though it's a bit of a hike from the park, Thorton's Fenway Grill is a great place to go before or after a game. This sports bar sits just on the edge of Fenway Park. If you can't get tickets to the game, you can watch it from the roof deck here with it's mini version of the Green Monster and feel like your as close as you can get. It's got your classic bar food menu (wings, burgers, beers) and a friendly atmosphere. A great place to watch the game for the more traditional Fenway bar experience. The crowd here is generally a bit older than at Game On.
